Siri Scientific Press at the Tucson fossil show 2016

Many of you will be aware that the Tucson Fossil Show in Arizona is one of the largest events in the palaeo calendar. Fossil dealers and collectors come from all over the world to marvel at the incredible wealth of material on display. This is an important event where young research palaeontologists in the early stages of post-graduate research are able to present their research to their peers. 7th International Conference on Fossil Insects, Arthropods and Amber

The International Conference on Fossil Insects, Arthropods and Amber (usually shortened to Fossils x3) is held every three years under the auspices of the International Palaeoentomological Society. Next year (2016) it will be held in the UK, at the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. Siri Scientific Press are pleased to announce that we will be publishing the Abstracts book for the scientific talks and posters that will be presented at the conference and the production of this volume is currently underway. First REAL Tyrannosaurus rex to go on display in Europe opens tomorrow!

These days many museums have excellent replica fossils of the the most famous dinosaur of all, Tyrannosaurus rex. But these all fade into insignificance next to the real thing. The first real fossil specimen of a complete T. rex skeleton to go on display in Europe opens to the public tomorrow at the Museum fur Naturkunde in Berlin. HUGE fossilized trackway of earliest land animals going on display

From autumn (fall) of next year the Milwaukee Public Museum, a large natural history museum in the US, will put on display their massive 2,600 pound slab of Diplichnites trackways from the famous Blackberry Hill site.
