7th International Conference on Fossil Insects, Arthropods and Amber

Posted by David Penney on

The International Conference on Fossil Insects, Arthropods and Amber (usually shortened to Fossils x3) is held every three years under the auspices of the International Palaeoentomological Society. Next year (2016) it will be held in the UK, at the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh.

Siri Scientific Press are pleased to announce that we will be publishing the Abstracts book for the scientific talks and posters that will be presented at the conference and the production of this volume is currently underway.

Dr David Penney of Siri Scientific Press will be giving a Keynote Lecture entitled: Amber Palaeobiology - Trends and Perspectives for the 21st Century. This is based on his 22 years experience of researching spiders and insects preserved as fossils in amber. We also hope to have his new book on this topic available in time for the conference.

We will of course have our other fossil arthropod and amber titles on display at this meeting. We also expect to be publishing a second amber title later on in the year.
